Fully Funded CSU Master and Doctoral Scholarships for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2018

Non-Chinese students who wish to study in China are hereby invited to submit their applications for scholarship by the Central South University. Boosting of an established relationship with over 200 universities and research institutes spread across more than 20 countries and regions, Central South University is an open university with a mark of distinction. Some of the countries where CSU has established cooperation includes; United States, Germany, Russia, Canada, Australia, Japan and Russia.

The university has also been involved in industry-university-research cooperation with several multinational companies spread across the globe. Foreign students from over 100 countries have made CSU their school of choice. To be eligible for any of the English-taught programs, IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 85 is mandated. However, exemptions are given if applicant is a native speaker of English or if the applicant possess a degree that had been fully taught in English.

 

Application deadline: The deadline for application for the CSU Master and Doctoral Scholarship for Non-Chinese students is April 15, 2018.

Course level: The grants for school is made available for suitable applicants to pursue a doctoral or master degree program.

Duration (Masters): The duration for the master’s degree program is 3 years. The following are the majors available; mathematics, electrical engineering, nursing, biology, clinical medicine, computer science and technology, control science and technology, and information and communication engineering. All of these courses are taught in English or Chinese.

Other master’s degree courses include Law, public administration, international trade, Chinese Language and literature, and business administration, all of these taught in Chinese.

Duration (Doctorate): The duration for the doctorate degree program is 4 years. The following are the majors available; control science and technology, mathematics, biology, nursing, computer science and technology, public health, electrical engineering etc., all of these taught in both Chinese and English.

Scholarship Worth: The scholarship fund will cover for tuition fee, medical insurance fees, accommodation and a monthly living allowance of RMB 3000 for candidates for master’s degree while for doctorate degree candidate it is RMB 3500.

Eligible countries: Candidates from all countries aside from China

Entrance requirement: The following are entrance requirement for the grants for school;

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese graduates from major universities
  • Applicants must not be more than 35 years old if applying for Master’s degree
  • Applicants must not be more than 40 years old if applying for doctoral degree
  • Applicants must presents statements that they are not funded by any institutions or persons

English language proficiency: Fluency in English language is required for this grants for school
